Finland: 1000mk Independent Finland 80 years Au 1997

Tribute to Finnish Independence. The year 1997 was the 80th anniversary of the Finnish Independence. In honour of this, a golden commemorative coin was issued.

The reverse side of the coin depicts a tree trunk with a new shoot growing upwards as a metaphor for the growth of an independent Finland. The obverse side of the coin features motifs of Finland's development.
